Pretty cabin

We all loved the cabin it was super nice, the only strange thing was the bathroom situations. Other than that we felt super safe, comfortable, and it was all brand new and very clean! We will recommend

Nice new cabins

The cabins are brand new and the owners are taking care to keep them nice. They have nicer appliances and furniture than most places I've stayed in the area, making it feel kite like home than an investment property. They are pet friendly and don't charge a ton of fees like most so it is also affordable. The location is private and wooded but still a quick 10 minutes to the parkway. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are staying in the area.

Awesome

Stayed in Lazy Racoon cabin for a couple of nights after the business of Christmas to relax and that's what we did in this wonderful cabin. It was spotless clean. Beautiful cabin. Owners were very nice and friendly. Quick to respond to emails and very helpful. Highly recommend.

Great for pets and families!

We loved this cabin. We had some friends glamping nearby, but they were full, and these cabins were right down the road. We lucked out with an amazing trip (better than our friends who had made the initial plans!) The owners are nearby, very responsive via email, helpful with everything, and kind. The washer/dryer weren't in yet, and they took care of a load of laundry for us so we wouldn't have to waste time at a laundromat. Everything is nice and new. We felt lucky to have wi-fi to research/book outings online. Nicely furnished, including kitchen appliances and linens. Great fresh bread every morning. No carpet, which I appreciated with pets knowing that if one animal has an accident, my pets are more likely to be attracted. There was a large open field with a creek for the kids to enjoy! Beds and pillows were comfortable. Definitely enough room for our family. Just so future guests are aware, the water does have a strong sulfur smell, so I did purchase a gallon of water for drinking. Ice was great, so I think the frig must have a filter. The upstairs had a bunk in one room, a queen in the other- lots of sleeping space. It is an open layout, so not super for light sleepers if others are staying up, but my kids did great up there. The only 2 drawbacks I noticed were not a lot of space to store food, though there is a closet with shelves in the master, that could easily be used. We just moved a few of the dishes and stored our food in kitchen drawers. Not a problem for short stays. Also, the 1/2 bath downstairs is on the small side. Fine for our family, but might be challenging for guests who need more room. However, there's a nice open bathroom in the master if you're okay with everyone coming into the master. The hot tub was a definite plus. I would absolutely stay there again, and our friends said they wish they would have stayed in these cabins too. We really enjoyed our meal at Local Goat, and we had a super experience at Five Oaks stables for a trail ride with inexperienced riders/children.

We had the pleasure to stay at the Lazy Raccoon and it was a terrific experience. It was modern yet cozy and was truly a home away from home. Our two small dogs loved the cabin and the big field in front to play and run in. Every morning our gracious hosts hand delivered fresh baked bread in a picnic basket. I truly lucked out by stumbling across this gem. We will definitely recommend to family and friends.
